Based in the Wirral and Chester areas, MGB have been wowing audiences with their mix of acoustic, classic and modern covers for longer than they care to remember.  As major Beer Festival favourites, they have headlined at CAMRA and Charity events all over the North West including the Liverpool, Chester and North Wales Beer Festivals.

 

Their ecclectic mix of harmony and guitars together with the subtle dynamics of their songs has proven to be a winning formula for their audiences.  They tend to start with their soft acoustic based numbers, perhaps some Neil Young or Ryan Adams songs, often unaccompanied by drums or percussion, which gently lull you into a warm, secure and uplifting mood.... 

 

Then they slowly crank things up, bringing in classic songs by The Eagles, Crowded House and REM, with the occasional mandolin, incredible harmonies and a driving beat, now the house is simmering....

 

And the heat rises.... next comes The Killers, Bachman Turner Overdrive or maybe Scouting For Girls ... feet are moving and dancing is everywhere.  Now they bring out the final set favourites... Kaiser Chiefs, Kings of Leon and even Pink Floyd! A great time is guaranteed, with superb musicianship and a fabulous range of songs.
